Hi I'm Christopher, a 20 year old self taught web designer from Cheshire, England, UK who has been designing websites and graphics for 3 years. I started web and graphics design as a hobby and over the years I have gained the knowledge needed to create fully functional websites that meet the requirements of the clients I work with.

This template is just what came together after browsing Open Stock Photography. Whilst searching through their stocks I came across the image I later used in the header & navigation area of this template. A few specifics, browser-based font resizing is fully supported and images have been optimised for size and loading speed. Other than that, this design maintains my usage of using valid semantic and well-structured XHTML 1.1 and CSS2 code.

This template was just a concept I decided to play around with firstly, hope its turned out well anyway.. not sure what you could use for but maybe having the images down one side and text on the other may give you some idea's, maybe someone finds a use for it.

There seems to be a lack of simple single column designs lately, as pointed out by a member of Open Web Design . org so I'm just playing around with some really basic templates that only consist of the navigation, single column content, and the footer.

Design is fixed width which centers. Low use of images maintain fast loading, top navigational area is fixed which means links are always ready for the user. Designed as a personal / blog site.
